Notice of General Terms & Standard Practice Policies
RESERVATION POLICIES:
Appointments for office, phone, or video sessions can only be made after your initial phone consultation.
If you haven't yet had your complimentary 10-minute phone consultation, please click here to schedule that first. Once that’s complete, we can proceed to schedule your first visit.
All relevant practice onboarding paperwork must be completed at least 48 hours in advance of a desired initial session, otherwise your appointment cannot be confirmed and will be rescheduled.
If you have already spoken to me by phone or email, and we agreed upon a time and date, rest assured your reservation is secure and will not be cancelled barring severe or sudden illness on my part, technological failure, or other inclement weather-related conditions.
CANCELLATION/RESCHEDULE POLICY:
In the event of severe and sudden illness, unexpected accidents, or inclement weather, I require notice of intent to cancel at least 24 hours in advance of your appointment, or else payment of a late cancellation fee equivalent to your full session rate. This ensures other clients who may be on waitlist have an opportunity to schedule with me.
In case of severe inclement weather, I will do my best to preemptively reach out to cancel and reschedule appointments if I foresee barriers to suitable working conditions. Any returning or regular client is welcome to reschedule sessions in that event. Likewise if you do not hear from me but believe you will be unable to guarantee functioning technology or safe travel due to a Noreaster/blizzard for your session the next day, you are welcome to email me and initiate a request to reschedule.
Cancellation requests are honored based on the email timestamp when your email lands in my inbox.
Appointments that are rescheduled to another day/time within the same week are not subject to a late cancellation or no-show fee.
CHECK-IN:
For video session clients, my virtual waiting room allows you to “check in” by logging on to the video platform early; your presence is visible only to me, and your name will remain private from any other clients who may still be in the virtual waiting room.
For phone session clients, you will not need to "check in" as I will simply initiate the phone call when it's time for our session.
FACILITIES:
As my practice is completely virtual, there are no physical space-related considerations that you need be aware of.
I will always operate from a private space and make utmost use of HIPAA-secure platforms as possible and reasonable. You are likewise expected to secure your space for the entirety of your appointment time.
MEDICAL CONCERNS:
Your safety is always my priority.
Requests for specific accommodations must be discussed with me in advance of scheduling your first appointment. I will always do my best to work with you to arrange alternate accommodations for our first meeting, if possible, but you must contact me in advance with related questions or concerns.
It is ultimately your responsibility to communicate your needs to me before our first session, during your complimentary phone consultation. Failure to do so on your part will not constitute eligibility for any form of session refund or discount on future sessions.
